Market Intelligence Analyst, IKEA Retail Sweden, Helsingborg
As part of the Market Intelligence team you will work to proactively identify consumer and market opportunities and stimulate curiosity by generating and sharing insights. You will work closely with our Marketing Intelligence Specialist, supporting them in building an understanding of the Swedish Home Furnishing market, competitors and customer’s behaviours and attitudes within.
Specifically, you will be responsible for continuous reporting of market and brand development, and visitation behaviour, working closely with our external research partners / colleagues to make insight actionable and identify opportunities for future business growth. In addition you will support your colleagues with ad hoc analysis, data and insights to support decision-making internally. You are comfortable working through lots data from various data sources into clear, simple and concise insights.
You will be part of the Marketing team at IKEA Retail Sweden and based at our Service Office in Helsingborg, Sweden. You will work closely with our two Market Intelligence Specialists and report to the Deputy Marketing Manager. You will contribute to grow IKEA by inspiring and enabling IKEA colleagues to make well founded decisions based on relevant and actionable business and consumer knowledge.
About the assignment
As Market Intelligence Analyst, you are a strong contributor to the marketing and commercial teams. Alongside our Market Intelligence Specialist you will be responsible for carrying out some ad hoc research projects, from brief to delivery, selecting external agency and ensuring the right methodology is selected to answer the business question. Ideally you have experience of working with different research tools and methodologies, including qualitative and quantitative research, managing external agencies to deliver high quality results and clear insights.

You have a passion for consumer analytics/insights and communicating insights to support future business growth! You have the ability to see the big picture and generate insights that are clear, focused and actionable. You are communicative and comfortable at presenting, working with and influencing colleagues across business functions. You work successfully in teams with others.
You have 2-5 years’ experience in market and consumer research within a commercial environment, delivering analysis of high quality. You have a relevant university degree and both numeric and qualitative analytical skills. Ideally you speak both Swedish and English fluently. You are data driven and highly comfortable user of Excel/PowerPoint. Knowledge of the marketing planning process, metrics and methods of brand/communication evaluation is beneficial. Experience within digital advertising, social media and/or search is a benefit. Of course you are passionate about life at home and interested in home furnishing.
